Humanity across the globe has used a remarkable ancient invention for 2,067 years as of year 2022. This device is our modern international calendar, a brainchild of the Roman emperor, Julius Caesar, hence the name " the Julian calendar ".Five hundred seventy years after the implementation of the Julian calendar, Dionysius Exiguus, a Scythian priest, in an act of vandalism, tampered with the calendar by recommending a new epoch ( starting point ) of the calendar on the 46th year of the existing Julian calendar. All the years after year 46 of the Julian calendar were termed years of our Lord, which later became the acronym AD, and all years before year 46 were called Before Christ or BC. Hence the year 45 of the Julian calendar is now written as 1 BC or BCE and year 1 of the Julian calendar is written as 45 BC or BCE.By year 1582, 12 extra days were accumulated due to the practice of adding a leap year every 4 years. In other words, one additional day was added every 128 years.After the Julian calendar had been implemented and utilized for 1,627 years, Pope Gregory XIII ordered a committee of astronomers and mathematicians to find a formula to avoid drifting of the easter dates caused by addition of an extra day every 128 years. An astronomer / physician named Luigi Lilius recommended a correction to better synchronize the calendar with the spring. Ten days were abruptly removed from October 3, 1582, to October 13, 1582. Pope Gregory XIII also made a blatant audacious claim of ownership of the Julian calendar.Later, Johannes Kepler, a renowned astronomer suggested to replace the religious acronyms AD and BC with vulgar era and before vulgar era, which subsequently became Common Era and Before Common Era with the acronyms CE and BCE. Kepler neglected to realize the false year count and tampering by the Scythian monk. Hence all CE and BCE dates remain as incorrect as the AD and BC dates.A remedy is recommended to correct all dates without changing the existing dates.
